Xfiner is back, in a new form and with the same bright spark

Xfiner, originally known as Bitfiner, was founded in 2014 by Lauri Post after returning from a startup adventure that had taken him to New York and London. Design skills were limited, entrepreneurship was new, but there was a strong will to learn, grow, and do better.
We started with Google Ads campaigns and small websites, building page by page to improve business results. The idea turned into reality.
The studio years
Step by step, our growth, passion, and persistence attracted new clients. From 2015 to 2017 we were already creating more remarkable digital projects, always with the goal of improving business results through data-driven methods.
We opened our first office in Tartu with a small on-site team and remote partners. What felt fresh at the time is now the industry standard. The real adventure had begun.
The agency years
More clients, more projects, more skills, more travel, and a growing team led us to move into a spacious new office on Rüütli Street, which we fully renovated in our own style.
By 2018 we had already won notable awards both in Estonia and Europe. Our clients wanted more and more services, and by then we had delivered projects in 20 countries.
It was an intense ride with beauty, struggle, and many lessons. Eventually we moved our office to Tallinn, first to Saarinen’s House and then to Rotermann.
The full wow, and then a pause
Years of practice and self-learning paid off. 2021 brought us a European Design Award silver, a Golden Egg gold, the German Design Award, and more. We designed for Aalto University, ranked as the top Nordic design school. We also delivered seven training sessions for Google’s learning program.
It felt like we could not go any higher. Yet we found ourselves stuck in heavy custom development projects with partners. Too much stress, too little joy. That is when we made the decision to stop offering custom development and take a real break.
The creative coma and a long pause
From late 2021 to 2024 we wrapped up projects in Estonia and produced as little as possible. Many months of travel and rest followed.
During that time we experimented with solving WordPress pain points through a mini-product called Wunderfront. But we realized that WordPress pain is not easily fixed, at least not in the way we wanted. We call this period a creative coma: too much custom development, too few creative projects. The clarity came later.
Restart, in a new form
By 2024 we knew that the creative world is where we truly belong. Bitfiner was rebranded into Xfiner, because extra fine experiences and outcomes are exactly what we want to create for our clients and their clients.
The original spark is still alive and burning bright. What began as scattered ideas in 2014 is now a well-thought-out set of services, supported by better tools and platforms.
We found Webflow, a strong no-code alternative to WordPress. For any creative mind or designer, it is a dream. We can now build exactly what we design, pixel-perfect and functional, delivering results without stress.
2025, unexpectedly strong
Since the restart in 2024–2025, we have already created several exciting projects worldwide. Among them:
- a virtual tour for the world-famous five-star Fairmont Hotels
- powerful moving visuals for Innomotics, a Siemens spin-off with 10,000 employees
- multiple Webflow design and no-code projects in both Estonia and the UK
Carefully chosen services, tools, and platforms have allowed us to deliver 100 percent client satisfaction. That feels good for us and for our clients. If you do it, do it properly.
The signs are clear
In 2025 we became an official and certified Webflow Partner, a major milestone. Our design and build quality in Webflow was reviewed, tested, and approved.
Lauri from Xfiner headlined the Webflow Meetup in Shoreditch, London, and we visited London twice already in Q1 to meet new clients and speak at the event. Today we have achieved 100 percent client satisfaction in the UK, Germany, and Estonia.
Our project for the EU’s Creative Europe Desk in Estonia also won an Honourable Mention from Awwwards, the world’s largest design community.
The direction is clear: full speed ahead.
