Long story short
Early years
Xfiner, originally known as Bitfiner, was founded in 2014 by Lauri Post after returning from his startup adventures that took him as far as New York and London. Design skills were limited, entrepreneurship was new, but the drive to learn, improve, and create better was unstoppable. We started with Google AdWords campaigns and simple websites, building page by page, focused on improving business results. What began as an idea quickly became reality.
The design studio years
Our persistence, passion, and determination attracted new clients, and between 2015–2017 we were already creating far more ambitious digital projects, always with one goal: helping clients grow through data-driven methods. We opened our first office in Tartu with a small team on-site and remote partners supporting us. What felt new back then is standard today. The real adventure had begun.
The agency years
More clients, more projects, more skills, more travel, and a growing team led us to move into a spacious new office on Rüütli Street, which we fully renovated in our style. By 2018, we had earned our first major awards and recognition both in Estonia and across Europe. Clients wanted more services, and by then we had already delivered projects in 20 countries. It was a wild ride, full of highs and lows. A couple of years later, we relocated the office to Tallinn, first to Saarinen House and then to Rotermanni.
The wow years and a pause
Years of practice and self-learning paid off, 2021 brought us European Design Awards Silver, Golden Egg Gold, the German Design Award, and more. We also designed for Aalto University, ranked the number one design university in the Nordics, and ran seven workshops for Google’s “Learn with Google” program. It felt like things couldn’t get better. But at the same time, we found ourselves weighed down by custom development projects with partners, too much stress, too little joy. That’s when we decided to stop offering custom development and take a real pause.
Creative coma and reset
From the end of 2021 until 2024, we wrapped up projects in Estonia and produced as little as possible. Months of travel and rest led us to explore solving the pains we especially saw in WordPress projects with a mini-product called Wunderfront. Over time, it became clear that WordPress issues couldn’t be fixed in the way we envisioned. We call this period our “creative coma”: too much custom development, too few creative projects. But clarity emerged.
Restart, a new chapter
In 2024, we made a clear decision: creativity is our path. Bitfiner was rebranded to Xfiner because creating an extra finer experience is what we want for our clients and their customers. The original spark was still alive and burning bright. With sharper focus, new services, better tools, and stronger platforms, we set out again with fresh energy.That’s when we discovered Webflow, a strong no-code alternative to WordPress. For creative minds, it is a dream platform: we can design and build pixel-perfect, functional websites that deliver results, without stress.
2025, unexpectedly good
Since the restart, in 2024–2025, we’ve already delivered powerful projects worldwide. From a virtual tour for the world-famous five-star Fairmont Hotels, to striking motion visuals for Innomotics (a Siemens spin-off with 10,000+ employees), to numerous Webflow design and no-code projects across Estonia and the UK. Our refined services, tools, and platforms enabled us to deliver 100% client satisfaction, a great feeling for us and our clients alike. If we do it, we do it properly.
The signs are clear
In 2025, we became an official certified Webflow Partner, a big milestone. Our Webflow design and build quality is verified and stamped. Lauri from Xfiner spoke as a headliner at the London Webflow Meetup, and we traveled twice to London in the first quarter alone, meeting new clients and presenting at the Shoreditch Webflow event. We have achieved 100% client satisfaction across the UK, Germany, and Estonia. Our project for the EU’s Creative Europe desk in Estonia also won recognition from the world’s largest design community, Awwwards. The path forward is full speed ahead.

The Founder's Story
Hi, I’m Lauri Post, founder of Xfiner. My path into design wasn’t exactly traditional. In 2011, I walked away from a promising marketing career to chase my passion for digital and design … and I’ve never looked back. Quit work, started freelancing.
I wasn’t formally trained in design. In fact, I was rejected by my hometown art school back in 2008. Instead, I taught myself everything ... Googling, trial and error, and endless curiosity.
Seems I'm a bit foolish, and believe in action taking. Nothing can stop you, if you truly want something. And take action.
Since then, I’ve been fortunate to deliver projects across 29+ countries, lead creative work worth millions of euros, and win 11+ international design awards, including European Design Awards (Silver) and multiple German Design Awards. And most importantly, see our creative work reach millions and millions of people world-wide.
As an introvert, I conquered my fears, and I’ve spoken seven times for Google’s Grow series, delivered keynotes at prestigious events, and collaborated with some of the world’s most inspiring clients.
In 2020, together with my colleagues, we designed an award-winning project for Aalto University, ranked among the very best art & design schools worldwide. Aalto is the number 1 art and design university in the Nordics, and number 8 in the world. From rejected by a local art school, into working for the best in the world. I'm happy.
My strength lies in creative direction and UX/UI design, but beyond the work, I’m happiest outdoors, hiking, sailing, or just being close to nature. Fun fact: I also hold a global recreational small ship license. Officially a captain. These are the main reasons I think I'm qualified to steer the Xfiner ship and lead an elite creative network.
In 2025 I decided to learn something new, and now I can say I'm a Webflow Certified Partner, and a skilled no-code builder. After taking a big break from agency world, 2021-2024, I see no-code as a new path forward, not to mention the AI.
All of these experiences led me to create Xfiner, not just another agency or marketplace, but a creative force that connects world-class professionals with exceptional businesses, safeguarding outcomes that drive growth and wow audiences. All that, to live a better life, and to have more freedom.
So I keep on doing what the clock does ... keep on going. And I teach my son the same.
